Person of Interest Review
The hits just keep on coming for CBS. You ever get the feeling that you are being watched? Is Big Brother really out there? Well, in this case he is with the new series Person of Interest. A mysterious billionaire Mr. Finch, played by Lost veteran Michael Emerson, recruits a burned out former CIA Agent named John Reese played by Jim Caviezel, who has been in films such as The Passion of the Christ and Highwaymen, to help him stop crimes for happening. Finch built a computer system that tells him about a person that is somehow connected to a crime. The problem is it can’t tell him whether they will be a victim, perpetrator, or a witness to the crime. That’s where Reese comes in, to track their every move and find out what they are up and stop them from getting hurt or killed. All they get is a social security number; the rest is up to them.
From Executive Producer J.J Abrams, who gave us Lost, Alias, and Fringe. As well as Jonathan Nolan who worked on The Dark Knight, this is a new show that has a lot of promise. After watching the pilot the characters are very well cast if not written. And, with a NYPD detective already looking into Reese, it makes for an exciting show. This is a mix of The Net, Eagle Eye, and Batman all rolled into one. It’s the best action-packed show I have seen in a long time. I give Person of Interest four out a possible four stars. And if you are a fan of action, suspense, and redemption, this is one to watch. All-new episodes air Thursdays at 9/8c on CBS. What do you think of the show? Is it a good premise? Or have we been there, done that? Send us an e-mail ryan@therpmshow.com
