Terra Nova Review
From executive producer Steven Spielberg comes a new series on FOX called Terra Nova. It takes place in the year 2149 A.D. where Earth has been overpopulated and the air quality has taken a turn for the worse. The only hope for survival is to go back in time, specifically 85 million years when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. In Chicago, the Shannon family goes on the tenth pilgrimage to Terra Nova for a fresh start. After they arrive they soon realize that starting over won’t be easy. Especially after they almost get killed by some dinosaurs, and a group of rogue settlers called Sixers who are opposed to the idea of living in Terra Nova.
When it comes to sci-fi Spielberg is no stranger to the genre. And after watching the pilot, you can tell that they put a lot of money into making this work. Reports say that it cost about twenty million dollars to put the pilot together. You may have some Land of the Lost or Jurassic Park flashbacks but its well worth it. I really enjoyed watching this one and I strongly recommend that you check it out. For adventure and mystery, this is one to watch. I give Terra Nova four out of possible four stars. All-new episodes air Monday’s at 8/7c on FOX. What do you think of the show? Has Spielberg done it again? Or should he stick to making movies? Send us an e-mail ryan@therpmshow.com
